Obituary of Marlene Gail Russell

With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Marlene Gail Russell, wife of Bill Russell of Fredericton, NB, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on November 5, 1963 in Downsview, ON, she was the daughter of Frank and Bernice (Burt) Foote. Marlene worked as an administrative assistant for CNIB. She loved her Lord and was a faithful soldier of the Salvation Army. She loved to bake and cook despite her disabilities, played her tambourine, taught Sunday School, was a band member in the Salvation Army for 37 years and especially enjoyed hosting guests whenever the occasion allowed. Marlene loved her family very much and was especially proud of her two boys.

 

In addition to her loving husband of 31 years, Marlene is survived by her sons, Justin (Kaitlin) and Cody Russell; sister, Glenda Crawford (Don); niece, Heather Bown (Aaron); nephew, Philip Power (Alexa); and numerous extended family and in-laws.

 

Visitation will take place at the Salvation Army Fredericton Community Church, 531 St. Mary's Street, Fredericton on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 6-8 pm.  A Funeral Service will be held from the Salvation Army Fredericton Community Church, on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 2 pm.  Interment will be in Olivet Cemetery, Fredericton. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Salvation Army Community Church, Fredericton.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
