Alfred Paul-Elias introduced me to Sinead O'Connor in the 90's at Harvey High School. Enough said, right? Not only that, he played Bob Dylan's music and danced and smiled and let me know it was okay to have fun. In fact, it was a requirement! There was certainly an ease and a lightness that I experienced of Mr. Paul-Elias. I felt seen and heard in his presence. I could see that he loved his work and genuinely enjoyed being around youth and engaging with us in his unique way. He was a character for sure! And I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet this teacher on my life path.
Thank you Mr. Paul-Elias for your love of being deeply engaged in your life and sharing your spark with us as it lit a spark in me.
Best,
Jen Wright

Alfred will be missed. I appreciate all the time he gave to Junior Golf at the Fredericton Golf Club. Every golf course needs a volunteer like Alfred who helps juniors learn about golf and life. Thank you, Alfred, for all you did!

Even though I have not seen Alfie in many years, it is sad to hear of his passing....so young, born the same year as me !
Victor, do you remember walking down through the field behind the drug store, where often I would join up with you and Alfie to walk to Minto Memorial High School ?
I remember Alfie holding the door open for me when we got to the school.
Doubly sad for the Paul family, with David's recent passing.
As I read the obituary, it sounds like Alfie had a happy, productive, valuable life.
May God give you all peace as you remember your brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend.

My Deepest Condolences to Family and Friends of Alfred. He taught me at Harvey High School in the 70's, and was not only a great teacher, but a kind and sweet soul. I had a difficult childhood and teenage years and just wanted to give up but Alfred gave me the courage to continue and always treated me with kindness. I don't know if I would have made it without his encouragement. He will always be in my heart and remembered with love.

Dear Victor and Debbie and the Paul-Elias Family,
We send our heartfelt condolences to you all during this very sad and difficult time of loss. It's hard to imagine losing two siblings and loved ones within a week. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
We have vivid memories of Alfred on the golf course at Fredericton. He was a selfless leader of the junior golf program for many years and a regular golfer, often darting along the links in the early evenings, no doubt savouring this pastime he so enjoyed. Alfred will be missed.
Your friends,
Barb Ramsay & David Clark
