Obituary of Dorothy L. Cochrane

Dorothy Cochrane, 96 years old, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2021.

Dorothy grew up in Moncton, N.B. She worked at CFB Moncton during WWII and continued as a typist for the Federal Govt. until her marriage in 1948. She spent the majority of her married life caring for her family in Fredericton N.B. During her life she was a member of the Gibson Memorial United Church UCW and the church choir.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by her children: David (Gail) Ontario, Wendy (Bruce Allen) Alberta, and Don (Ana) New Brunswick, her grandchildren; Meagan (Mike Dupuis) and Courtney Cochrane (Ontario); Jeff Allen (Monica) and Chris Allen (Amy) Alberta; Ethan, Elena and Maia Cochrane (New Brunswick); and her 8 great grandchildren: Alexander and Katherine; Aurora, Astraea, Orion, and Ariadne; Noah and Hanna. Also, her sister-in-law Dorothy and nephew Thomas (New Brunswick).

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of 59 years J. David Cochrane and son Michael; her parents George and Ethel, her brother Thomas, sister Daphne and brother-in-law Don Wilson.

A private family gathering, and internment will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of York Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
