SIde by side or miles apart we were always connected. When someone you love turns into a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. RIP dear sister.

I am happy to have many fond memories of Aunt Norma and Uncle Roy as a boy when my Dad would bring me to Fredericton and ultimately Maple Grove.
For many of those visits we’d spend the day fishing with Uncle Roy and bring the catch home for Aunt Norma to fry it up for dinner. Both Uncle Roy and Aunt Norma were always so nice to me when we would visit and I was happy to share Uncle Roy’s 90th birthday in Fredericton with my wife Cindy and on a trip to New Brunswick with Karen and Don years ago. They were truly one of those couples that loved each other through every minute of their lives and while Aunt Norma’s passing marks a somber chapter in the rest of our lives, it also feels comforting to know they are together again and no longer in pain.
On behalf of Cindy, Kathryn, Zach and I we send our condolences to all who loved this amazing Woman and had an opportunity to feel the warmth of her hug, share a meal of fresh fish or delight in the guaranteed sweet dessert finish Uncle Roy insisted upon.
Love, Terry Merrill

Dear Wendy, Christopher, Jennifer and family,
Our deepest condolences. Your mother/grandmother lit up every room she entered. She had a wonderful sense of humour, a lovely laugh and a mischievous twinkle to her eye. She was able to make everyone she met feel special and comfortable in her presence. She loved her family very much and missed the love of her life, Roy, with all her heart. Norma had many loves in her life, including each of you, but she also had a special place in her heart for Sidney Crosby and was very proud to wear his hockey sweater whenever he was playing! We also fondly remember her stories of camping and salmon fishing with Roy on the Miramichi River, as well as allowing Roy the odd glass of whiskey with Ralph on our visits. She took special pride driving around Fredericton in new, shiny cars every two years - her last wish being for a "red" car! We will continue to cherish the throw blanket with its wonderful needlepoint work, together with the stories of our ancestors, particularly her grandmother, Ruth, whose name Norma proudly spoke of. Norma left an indelible mark on our lives, and we will miss her always and fondly remember our times together. Again, our condolences to each of you.
Love always,
Wende Merrill & Ralph Collins

We are truly saddened by the passing of my dear Aunt Norma but know that she is happy once again because she is with her love, Uncle Roy. Don (husband) and I, we visited with Aunt Norma and Uncle Roy a few times over the years and always felt so very welcomed and we could see first-hand the love that they shared for each other, an inspiration to our own relationship.
To you, Wendy and your family, we know that you are comforted in knowing that your mom/grandmother is no longer suffering and is at peace.
We are thinking of all the Merrill clan and send our most heartfelt sympathy on the loss of a mother/grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.
With love, Karen Merrill & Don Shane
