Obituary of Stephen Duane Hovey

It is with great sadness that the family of Stephen Duane Hovey announces his sudden passing at the age of 61.

Stephen is survived by his devoted son, Shannon (Keri); and loving daughter, Madison; his parents, Lois and Duane; sister, Susan and niece Nikki; three grandsons, Riley, Ty and Levi; as well as, numerous other relatives and friends.

Born in Toronto on October 12, 1959, Stephen enjoyed hockey as a child and later became involved in car sales where he found a life long career. He worked many years for Honda, Harvard Auto Sales, and most recently was founder and co-owner of Scotiashare Bus Sales.

Stephen enjoyed spending time in the Miramichi with his loving family. He was a caring and wonderful son, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Stephen had a great sense of humour and a special talent for making all in his company feel at home. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand when needed and was always there with a huge heart. There is an enormous void forever in our hearts. He is one of a kind and can never be replaced.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the loving care of York Funeral Home’s Miramichi Valley Chapel. Due to Covid19 restrictions, there will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
