Obituary of Preston James Waite

The passing of Preston James Waite of Fredericton, NB, husband of Betty Ann (Somerville) Waite, occurred on April 25, 2020 at the Moncton Hospital.  Born on August 8, 1959 in PE, he was the son of the late Ernest Waite and the late Norma (Ramsey) Currie.  Preston worked as IT Instructor for Eastern College, Fredericton Campus. He enjoyed camping, the outdoors and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, they were his world.

 

 

Preston is survived by daughter Lacey-Dawn Ferguson (Luke); brother Chris Waite (Jeannie); sisters Ernestine Morse (Stephen), Cheryl LeBlanc (Jason) and Coleen Turner (Kirk); grandchildren, Charles and Marjorie Ferguson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gertie and Glen Somerville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Paul and Ethel Somerville; brother-in-law Stephen Lint; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Lint.

 

A Memorial Service by invitation only will take place from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod’s Memorial Chapel on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1 pm with Rev. Mike Trail officiating.
