I worked with a Chuck at Health and Social Seevices for a number of years but my best memory is of winning a flight with Chuck at the annual HSS Christmas Charity Auction. My daughter and I spent two hours with Chuck in his plane checking out the beautiful country around Yellowknife and chasing down a few moose! RIP Chuck and condolences to family. Donna Allen

I am so very sorry to hear of Chucks passing. I grew up with Chuck in Carroll's Crossing. I have many memories of our school days, summers and growing up in our small little piece of Heaven where every kid in Carroll's Crossing knew each other well and everyone hung out and spent lots of time together. I often talk about the corn boils that Chucks Mom & Dad put on for all the kids in Carroll's every year on the night before school started. It was always so much fun !! Chuck was a great guy . My Deepest condolences to Peter, Lorne and All of Chucks family.

Sad to lose such a wonderful person. Chuck's infectious grin always put people at ease. Hired me at Aurora College 1994 - best boss ever! Memories scrambling over rocks in Smith with Chuck, Claudia & College gang. Instinctively empowered people. I’d call about trying some idea and he’d say “If you think it will work Mik, go for it.." A born leader!! Fred and Chuck were close;airplanes and business deals fed their friendship. Grateful for our visit NB Oct.2018. RIP Chuck til we meet again.

I hadn’t seen Chuck since high school until about two years ago. Over the last few years we rekindled our friendship and enjoyed having coffee and breakfast at the Village family restaurant talking over world affairs. About a week and a half Ago he asked me to make him a hand crafted knife which I make along with some blacksmithing. He wanted to make a down payment but I refused and told him we would work it out when I finished it. I never had a chance to start it. My condolences to Peter and Lorne and Chuckie’s immediate family. Attached is a picture I took in November when Chuck was sawing some lumber with his saw mill behind the primary school in Doaktown. In this picture he was in deep thought which he was a lot of the time when reminiscing about the projects he had on the go. He would often remind me about wanting to make a replica trip to Cains river to fish trout like I had been on with Lorne years ago. Rest in peace Chuck, you will be forever remembered

Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Claudia, and her family (children and grandchildren) on the passing of Chuck. So
very hard to believe Chuck is gone. I never ever seen him that he didn't have a smile. He was a wonderful man, so caring and considerate. He will certainly be missed here in Carrolls Crossing. Go Rest High on that Mountain, "Son" your life on earth is done.Rest Easy Chuck

My condolences to Melody, Marc, Patricia, Claudia, Lorne, Anne, Peter, Sue, the grandkids, the nephews and nieces and all who knew and loved Chuck. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers during this incredible loss. May God grant you all strength and guidance during your grieving.
Chuck was always encouraging sharing his passion for fly fishing with us. He helped me learn casting techniques, he was excited to give us a Miramichi fishing boat (he would only accept payment in flies I tied), and my favourite Chuck day was when he took me out on the boat pictured, when I caught my first (Spring) Salmon just the two of us. While he is grinning ear to ear you should have seen his smile when I caught mine, it was bigger.
