The passing of Roger Joseph Albert Herbert Hooper of Fredericton, NB, husband of Cynthia (Chase) Hooper, occurred on February 26, 2020 at their home.  Born on February 10, 1959 in Labrievielle, QC,  he was the son of the late Yvette (Guerard) Hooper  and the late Herbert Hooper. 

Roger will be remembered by all who knew him as a man with a big heart and who always put others first. The joy of his life were his grandchildren who he dearly loved.  Roger worked in the restaurant business in Fredericton for over 40 years.  He was active in the sporting community in many different sports, including hockey, GO HABS!  The epitome of resilient, Roger fought bravely every day after his original cancer diagnosis 20 years ago. Never one to show his hand, he made sure to smile always and maintain a positive spirit. 

Roger is survived by son, Tyler Hooper (Nicole Ward) of Fredericton, daughter, Chelsey Bertrand (Justin) of Fredericton; brother, John Hooper (Mary Frausin-Hooper) of Dartmouth, mother-in-law, Frances DeGrace (Raymond DeGrace) of Fredericton; grandson, Landen Bertrand; granddaughter, Jordyn Bertrand; nephew, Matthew Hooper; nieces, Jessica Hooper and Stephanie Hooper.
