Roger Hooper gave me my very first job I had in Fredericton , after moving back from Calgary at the age of 15 , this was a very difficult time in my life . Roger was more than a boss to me ... he was a great friend and a father figure at the time when I had no father . Roger was one of the most generous and giving men I’ve ever met in my entire life . His generosity reached far beyond his family and friends . Roger gave so much to the community and his family , he was a true inspiration to all that knew him . His legacy and memory will never be forgotten . Roger, your spirit and devotion to family and friends is second to none . Thank you for being you . I love you like a friend .. like a father . Thank you for everything you did for me and all that you’ve done for the community and the city of Fredericton . Rest In Peace . Toby

Roger's passing. We know how hard he fought these past twenty years and although we didn't see him often, we always enjoyed chatting with him and catching up on what was going on especially with his family, whom he loved dearly. Cherish all the wonderful memories and know that he is watching over each of you! Our Love & Prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Cindy, Tyler and Chelsey,
Please accept my condolences. I’ve been neighbours with Cindy and Roger for years. Roger and I would chat from time to time in the parking lot (leaving/arriving home from work, shovelling or cleaning off cars). Roger would always inquire how teaching was going, how my family was, or to be careful on my drive to and from Boiestown. We would also talk hockey and our beloved Habs. I will our chats. Thinking of the entire Hooper family.
Your neighbour,
Maureen O’Donnell

Dear Cindy, Tyler & Chelsey,
I am so sorry to hear that Roger passed away last week. My heart is aching for you all.
Even though I had not seen Roger for quite some time, I still think of him and our time working at St Hubert’s together often. They are all good memories and always make me smile and sometimes laugh out loud. He was a generous man who loved and was very proud of his family. May your memories with Roger give you some peace during the following days and months yet to come.
Our deepest sympathies to you and your whole family.

Very sorry to hear about Hoop. He was truly a great man. He always wanted to help others. Back in the days of St. Hubert we worked together with Jim MacDonald and Jeff Craig to organize the St. Hubert Charity Classic golf tournaments. It was a way to give help to some very worthy charities. My heart goes out to the family. Please take some solace from the fact he was a well respected and loved man.
