Seriously saddened to learn of Mike's passing. My memories of Mike date to our time together with the Devon Little League's Cardinals. Early '60s !? I was a pitcher and Mike was the catcher. Years later we skated and showered together in Terry Arnold's VAHL. I also remember sharing the back row in a UNB Computer Science course with Mike. The instructor's name was Jane F. When she tried to use blackjack as an example in programming (I forget what language) and it became apparent she didn't know much about Blackjack, Mike was quick to announce to the class that we were witnessing the creation of a new card game called BlackJane.
Sincerest condolences.
Gordie

Mike was a key member of the PIRI committee that brought risk-based solutions to contaminated sites across Atlantic Canada. All of the committee members look back on that time as a great example of a constructive partnering between government and industry. Mike was always positive, told us some great stories and jokes and made a huge leadership contribution. I was really sorry to hear the news of his passing. He will be missed but remembered with fondness and respect.

Hey Mike, Some people are unforgettable. You're one of them.
I'll always remember the music we made together and a joke you told so well that I can't repeat it here. So long my friend. See you when I get there.

Greg, Jay and Family:
The first time I met Mike was at Rocky Brook a few years back. A bond of friendship quickly developed that tied us together as river people, stretching from Moosecall to Gartley Clarks Camp and MSA functions.
The last time we spoke was on a cold winter day, when I answered a knock at my door. We had a great visit. I will miss Him.
Keep a tight line my friend.

My deepest condolences to Mike's family and friends. Mike was known at DELG as being very bright, innovative with a great sense of humor, a great story teller and certainly one who knew how to think outside the box. His innovative way of looking at things and solving problems will be missed but what we will miss the most is the great human being we knew him to be. Rest in peace Mike and send us little signs every now and then of the great fishing area you have just discovered! God bless!

To the family,
Loved him and will always have him in my heart. He played the guitar for many of the songs I wrote so can listen to him at any time. I know he and Dad are having a great talk right now about what else "fishing".
Sincere condolences to you all.

Dear Greg and Linda,
I was saddened to hear of Mike's death. I knew he had been ill for some time, but this came as a shock to me, as I suspect it did to you as well. Mike and I met around 1990 when we locked horns over the proposed antimony processing plant in Lake George. Fortunately, we met again some years later at Grasse Circle, and I think we both realized that there was somebody else underneath all the argument. I wish I had gotten to know him better.
Please know that my thoughts, prayers, and energy are with you both. May your memories of good times shared with Mike help sustain you through this transition.
So let it be,
Mac
