Obituary of Hugh Hughson

Life Legacy The passing of Hugh LeRoy Hughson, of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Elizabeth (Moore) Hughson, occurred on February 21, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on August 11, 1926 in Upper Keswick, NB, he was a son of the late Reginald and Pheobe (Price) Hughson. Hugh retired in 1986 after 43 years with the Canadian Pacific Railway. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 4 since 1946. Hugh was an outdoorsman with a love of hunting and fishing. Hugh is survived by his daughter, Gale McLaughlin (Dr. Michael) of Denver, CO; five grandchildren, Adam, Kendall, Lauren, Lise-Anne and Keleigh; and one great granddaughter, Sawyer Elizabeth Anne; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Madeline Allen, and Dorothy Seavey; and his brothers, Guy, Aaron and Shalta. There will be no services by request. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date.
