I treasured every moment I could spend with my great Aunt Dora, since my childhood, she wasa very stron woman in my life. over the years, especially the few years beofre she passed, we several chances to chat at family gatherings, etc. always kind, loving and a kind of fierce zest for life and she wouldn't tolerate bad behavior, so strong and loving. On several occasions, inculding in fron of Angie and gher friend and myself, she patiently, and quietly (as was her way) explained to angie and her frined, plus anybody within hearing range, that she promised her home to me, that she didnt care what i did with it, live in or sell it. she had promised i could have her home when she was done with it, and instructed Angie to see to it that it wouldnt be a problem in giving me the house on maclarent ave, her primary residence.
Aunt Dora loved me very much, we had an excellent realtionship. She promised the house several times, and even while in hospital where i went to vist her frequently (angie was never there, not even to replace her hearing aid) Aunt Dora stated once, as she patted my hand, "Don"t worry, all the taxes are paid, and she smiled at me.
A dear sweat woman, who never stepped out on her husband WHILE HE WAS serving overseas. So many stories, we laughed and cried together. I wonder what Angie did with the property, Rest easy Aunt Dora

Dora was one of the MacLaren Ave. neighbours when I was growing up, and was loved by all. She attended all our recent reunions and parties, and remained an active and happy participant. We will all miss her very much.

I loved this lady. She would make me laugh, make me cry, and hug me like no one else could. I loved to listen to her stories and she ended every conversation with me with the words "I love you dear" I will miss her along with all the other parishioners of St. Anthonys. I just know she is with her husband now listening to her favorite song he use to sing to her. "We Must Have Been Out Of Our Minds" Rest in peace dear lady and "I love you Dear".

Angie & family - Over the years I have always loved "Nana" stories and our little "chats" in the parking lot here at work. She had such great character especially when she laughed and her zest for life was something to marvel at - may she rest in peace. Well done good and faithful servant. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayes in the days to come.
