Joseph's spirit was a beacon, illuminating the world with wisdom and laughter. He moved through life wearing his heart on his sleeve—kind, caring, introspective—and never hesitated to extend a helping hand in times of need. His interesting stories enriched our lives and hearts. Today, we hold firm to those treasured memories as he embarks on an eternal journey of peace. His indelible impact will forever resonate in the hearts of those touched by his essence. May you find tranquility in his enduring love.

Neal Calhoun was a great FRIEND to ALL! Neal was all about his family and friends being together sharing jokes, laughs, meals and just hanging out. One of my favourite memories was when we held the first Annually Skipping contest in Bloomfield. Neal won hands down. We will all miss him very much but he left us with loads of great memories. XOXO

The Calhoun’s, some of the best people I have ever met in life. I have been friends with the family since childhood. Neal and Sheila have always open their hearts and arms to all their kids friends through the good and the bad. I remember the days when the kids were not home and I would just chill with the parents for the night just talking to them. Neal was a great father figure to me and helping directing me in better life choices. Neal was one of the funniest men in life to be around cause everything was a fun to him. I will miss you so much Neal you were a such a great person to me. Love Andrew Stainton

Thinking of all of you during this difficult time.
Neal was always so welcoming. One thing I remember the most about my visits with Erika and Ray at their cottage was how Neal took the time to make sure everyone signed the guest book before they left.

Dear Sheila, Josh, Erika, Ray and Family,
Our sincere condolences on your loss of a wonderful Husband, Dad, Grampy, and brother.
Neal was like a brother to Jerry and I growing up in Bloomfield Ridge. He spent many hours at our house. At first it was trying to beat us all at darts and then later playing pool! Lots of fun and always competitive. I will always cherish those memories.
It was great to reconnect when Sheila and Neal moved back to Bloomfield and built their beautiful home on the Miramichi! A home he loved and was so proud of!
I hope that as time goes on you will always remember the fun times, the family gathering and all the love shared. Memories are for sharing, so continue to share them with all the children and grandchildren.
I loved him like a brother and will miss him dearly.
Rest in peace Neal.
Love,
Roxie & Larry

Hi Sheila;
My condolences on your loss yesterday of Neal...there are no words at this time fitting enough to describe my 2nd cousin Neal, whom I was good friends with since about age 12
A great human being, as you know!
I feel so much empathy for you Sheila...you have endured the loss of too many close loved ones...let Neal be your last, at least for 20 years or so, as death is inevitable for us all.
Leafs Nation is today grieving Neal's loss...
I shall sorely miss Neal, especially his smutty jokes, not politically correct at times, but who cares!
And will miss his 1, 000 watt smile, and being greeted with "Would ya like a beer?"
Another good man, gone now, far, far, too soon.
RIP Neal...wherever you may be, may there be a cold beer constantly at the ready!
