Obituary of Graham Andrew Rich

Graham Andrew Rich, husband of Krista (Naugler) Rich, passed away while in hospital in Fredericton, NB, on March 22, 2024. Born on September 25, 1972 in New Westminster, BC, he was the son of Marian (Gee) Gerrits and the late Douglas Rich.

Graham is survived by his wife, Krista, and four children, Susanna, Elijah, Rebekah and Gabriella; mother, Marian Gerrits; sister, Stephanie Rich; grandfather, George Rich, and extensive extended family on both coasts.

Graham graduated from Dartmouth High School in 1990.  He went on to obtain degrees from Simon Fraser University, BSc in Computer Science, Acadia University, BEd, and University of New Brunswick, MEd.

Graham was a well loved teacher at Devon Middle School, who previously taught in Hartland, NB and Oxford, NS. He spent four years at the NB Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. Throughout his career he dedicated himself to his students and was a strong advocate for technology within the school system.

Graham dedicated his time to coaching many sports teams, including basketball, volleyball, soccer.  He loved being involved in many clubs and extracurricular activities, with the most recent being the DMS cyber security club.

Graham was a man of great faith and was involved in his church, serving in a variety of ways. His heart for people was infectious and he loved to share his knowledge, whether you wanted it or not!

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday March 26, 2024 from 6 to 8pm.  A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 2pm.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Devon Middle School Technology Fund.
