Brian and I have been friends pretty much all of my life. When we were younger we lived near each other and he visited our house often, being a close friend of my brother Lyle Clarke. As is the way of such things, as we grew older we drifted apart. But I thought of him often and would catch up with him whenever he visited my Dad. He often called Dad after Blue Jays’ ball games or after a Maple Leafs’ hockey game. He was a fervent fan! Even though we didn’t speak often, I would always get a “Happy Birthday” message from him over Facebook. Up until the past few years I could always count on that friendly greeting. I truly enjoyed listening to Brian play guitar. He was an incredibly talented musician, yet a very humble one. He never sought the limelight or praise for his musical abilities. The love of playing was enough for him. Whenever I spoke to Brian, he was full of joy at having Grandkids and never missed an opportunity to tell me what they were up to. While I didn’t know his family members at all, it makes me happy to know Brian had people in his life whom he loved and who loved him back. I’m sure you will all miss him. As shall I. My sincere condolences on the loss of your husband/father/grandfather.

Oh the memories that have been coming to me..... like Brian sitting on the front steps learning the guitar - he would play for hours.... the time I missed the Blueberry bus and he drove me to the fields - they were about 10 miles from home and I didn't give him gas money !! Watching TV with him at Nanny & Grampys. And wow when he came home and told us he was getting married and asked me to be the Maid of Honor - LOL he didn't know any better :) Brenda was very confused LOL. Brian was like a big brother to me and even though I didn't see him much after he moved to NB I'll think of him that way always....

You will be remembered forever gramps. I named my son after you, just as I was named after you because you left such a huge impact on my life. You were always there for me no matter what and I will cherish every memory and everything you taught me, I love you so much

Dear Brenda and families. I am so sorry Brian passed away and so suddenly. I have so many great memories of him as sound-person with the Band 30 Years After. My Brian and your Brian drove to quite a few music stores guitar shopping. Your Brian would figure “he’d just add this guitar under the bed just like a woman’s dress added to the closet.” My condolences and my heart is with you.Louanne
