Obituary of Mary Ardythe Cameron

It is with heavy hearts but with appreciation of a life well lived that the family announce the passing of Mary Ardythe (Shields) Cameron, wife of the late Ross Cameron, on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on November 15, 1936 in Nashwaak Village, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Frances (Clarkson) Shields. Mary was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church and a Life Member of the United Church Women.

Mary is survived by her son, Stephen Cameron (Karen) of Upper Kingsclear, NB; daughter, Sharon Cameron of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Wendy (Craig White), Kimberly (Kyle Jones), David (Alex Snow); great grandson, Ross; sister-in-law, Shirley Sheilds of Nashwaak Village, NB and niece, Heather Bell. 

The family request that masks be worn for services. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Friday, March 24 from 3:00-6:00 pm.  A Memorial Service will take place at Nashwaaksis United Church, 46 Main Street, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kay Clowater officiating.  Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery at a later date.  Family flowers only.  Remembrances may be made to the Nashwaaksis United Church or the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
