ROSS, STELLA IDA

The passing of Stella Ida Ross of McGivney, NB, wife of the late Wilmot Ross, occurred on July 17, 2022 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 7, 1930 in McGivney, NB, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ada (Woodcock) Fairley.

Stella is predeceased by her first husband, Harold Austin; her eldest child, Gloria (Austin) Stewart; and brothers, Gerald Fairley and Joseph Fairley Jr.

Stella is survived by her children, Paul Austin (Linda), Gale Austin, Laura Collins (Donnie); and son-in-law, Sherman Stewart; grandchildren, Tammy Hickman (Eric), Joy Stewart (Dee), Glenn Austin (Jenn), Megan Collins, Hilary Austin, Gregory Austin (Michelle), Jessie Collins (Anthony) and John Collins; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Geraldine Girouard, Minnie Munn, Arden Fairley (Rhoda), Sylvia Green (Everett), Bert Fairley, Shirley Webster (Leigh) and Carolyn Smith (Brian); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 11-1 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2 pm with Rev. Lynn Hughes officiating. Interment will take place in McGivney Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Cancer Society or the McGivney Community Cemetery.
