To Brad and Roxanne, grandchildren and the entire Hunter family:
It is with deepest regret that I offer my condolences to you in the passing of Marjorie. Marjorie’s life, during the last few years, was certainly a challenge to her; she was much too young to have faced such difficulties, I first met Marjorie in Grade 7; she was smart, vivacious and talented. I soon learned the connection between her father and mine …both working together as cooks in the lumber woods. I subsequently met her family…invited to her home upon many occasions…always with a welcoming greeting and a fine homemade meal to behold prepared by her mum. I remember being so impressed by a beautiful jelly roll that Marjorie, herself, had baked…the baking talents of her parents had been passed down to her. Marjorie’s home was always filled with voices and laughter and much musical talent of her father and her brothers ….guitars and fiddles always in the forefront. Marjorie loved music; she could belt out a song in her county style even in her later years…Kentucky girl being one of her favourites. That love of music that had been instilled in her from an early age...sustained her with inner peace and comfort to the end.
Marjorie and I exchanged letters and poetry throughout the years. Upon our last visit in 2019, we reminisced about her family, our school friends and those young memories we shared of UMRHS. Her spirit and determination never faltered; I marvelled at both. She would speak of her love for her family and how Linda was faithful in her visits. Marjorie was overjoyed when her family would arrive on her birthdays to bring the music back to her…once again, celebrating their little sister.
I cherish the memories...I cherish the enduring friendship. I have fond and lasting memories of Wilfred and Gwen’s family and that white house on the hill.
We all remember Marjorie’s laugh. I believe that laughter can still be heard in her eternal home; she is now free from pain and once more, united with her parents and her brothers. For her body was more than you laid to rest...she is now the beautiful rainbow across the sky, the gentle breeze of a springtime morning and the spirit that lives within all of you. May her memory be a blessing and a gift. God bless.

Sending condolences to Marjorie’s family! I have so many great memories from our youth! She knew how to have fun, make people laugh and not to take life too seriously. I’m sorry her health didn’t allow her to enjoy her last few years. May she Rest In Peace leaving lots of wonderful memories behind.

To Marjorie's family: I worked with Marjorie many years ago when Brad was just a little guy. Your mom & I took Brad and my nephew to the Circus way back when... Your mom also was one of the Bride's Maids at our wedding. It has been a long time since I have seen your mom but I really enjoyed those times that we spent in the office and getting to know her outside of the office. She was a very friendly and kind person. My husband & I send our condolences to Brad, Roxanne and other family members. - Pam & Rodney Brewer
