Our prayerful support to the family of our friend Helen at her passing. I had the privilege of being her Pastor for 10 years and visited her in her home on a number of occasions. Helen was always a cheerful and encouraging friend. She knew and served the Lord Jesus here in life and now can see Him personally as well as her husband and her many friends who has gone on before her. God bless and encourage her family and friends as each travel their life journey in her absence.

My condolences to the family on Helen’s passing. She was the last of my aunts and uncles. I remember her fondly from our yearly visits to New Brunswick and Uncle David and her annual trips to plowing matches. She was warm and friendly, loved kids and had a good sense of humour. We last saw her in August 2018 at her retirement villa. She was sharp as always and introduced us to Austin. She will be missed. Neil MacLean, Lynn Macdonell

I have known Helen since 2016. I moved my mother, Beth into the Nursing home (called Alleira at the time) in the spring. She and I were quite nervous about it. The first person she met was Helen who happened to have the room directly across the hall from my mother. They instantly bonded and became fast friends. Then Austin met both of them and they became the 3 Amigos. They were always together. Your mother and Austin made my mother’s last year of her life so enjoyable. Helen always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. I am saddened to hear she is gone and offer my sincere condolences to her family.

My sincere condolences to the Gilchrist family on the loss of a special lady. I so enjoyed my visits with Austin and Helen at the home and her presence in the room sure lightened things up. One time when she found out my wife’s name was Esther and she knew Austin’s wife had the same name she asked if that was the only name they knew up in Keswick. Austin called her his eyes and ears and his time there would have been much more difficult without her loving care. RIP Helen. Glynn Norman

Deepest sympathy to all Helen's family. She lived a long and influential life, looking after all her "babies". She loved children.
