MCLAUGHLIN, ARNOLD JOSEPH

The passing of Arnold Joseph McLaughlin (AJ) of Durham Bridge, NB, loving husband of Sandra Thorne, occurred on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 14, 1967 in Bathurst, NB, he was a son of the late Joseph Gilbert and Rosellas (Doucet) McLaughlin.

In addition to his wife, Arnold is survived by his children, Natalie Rose Narvey, Andrew Joseph McLaughlin (Samantha), Mandy McLaughlin, Keshia-Lynn Marie Knox (Chelsey-Rae), Tristian Samuel McLaughlin (Jessica), Evan David Harris, Andrew Winslow Thorne (Josie) and Dustin Alexander Thorne; grandchildren, Kaley Boucher, Attila Narvey, Asher McLaughlin, Colton Lenihan, Gordon Hawkes-Tibbits, Claudia McLaughlin, and two expecting grandchildren; survived by many brothers and sisters; and several other loving family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his infant son, Corey McLaughlin.

AJ was a long time employee of York Care Center and loved going to work to spoil the residents. He would do anything for anyone and had a heart of gold. From telling you the truth whether you wanted to hear it or not to coming up with a funny dad joke to make your day just a little better. He loved nature and the solitude of his property. Sitting outside watching his pet goats (Oreo and fudgee-o) and his multiple chickens and turkeys was heaven to him, even though alot of people didn't understand what he seen in it.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation. A Private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Portage Atlantic or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
