Obituary of Fred Sowers

SOWERS, FREDERICK “FRED” RAYMOND

The passing of Frederick "Fred" Raymond Sowers of Fredericton, NB, husband of the late Elizabeth Irene Sowers, occurred on May 26, 2022 at Hospice Fredericton.  Born on October 11, 1950 in NB, he was raised on a farm near Cambridge Narrows by the Sowers Family. Fred loved to garden, fish, and spend time outdoors.  He had quite the green thumb, and loved tending to his vegetables and sharing the harvest with friends and family. Fred was a family man, loving spouse for 42 years to Elizabeth, and caring father to his children.  He loved building model cars with his son Freddy and socializing with his many friends.

Fred is survived by son, Freddy Sowers; daughter, Jennifer; 3 grandchildren; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Fred was predeceased by several nieces and nephews.

Fred’s only son Freddy would like to say, “I love my dad”.

Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made in support for Freddy would be greatly appreciated, or donations may be made to Hospice Fredericton.
