Obituary of Audrey Joyce Fraser

The passing of Audrey Joyce Fraser of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Fred Fraser, occurred on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Frederick Hall - Shannex.  Born on December 18, 1930 in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of the late William and Edna (Gallagher) McAndrew.  She was an active member of the Girl Guides and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion, Branch #156, Lakeside, NS and Branch #80, Nashwaak Bridge, NB. She enjoyed playing darts at the legion.

Audrey is survived by her son, Claude Fraser of Lakeside, NS; daughters, Edna Lang (Chris) of Lakeside, NS, Patti Byrne (Garvice) of Fredericton, NB, Roxanne MacFarlane (Calvin) of Fredericton, NB and Tracey Fraser of Fredericton, NB; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sisters, Doris Deal and Claire Cato; brothers, Bill, Ron, Roy, Milton and Jack McAndrew; daughter-in-law Carol Hatter; great granddaughter, Lucy.

A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 2 pm. For those attending the Memorial Service, the family have asked that masks be worn. Interment will take place in Nashwaak Bridge Community Cemetery at a later date.
