Obituary of Dorothy Virginia Wilson

 

 

The passing of Dorothy Virginia Wilson of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Adam Wilson, occurred on February 11, 2022 at Frederick Hall - Shannex.  Born on December 12, 1931 in Coles Island, NB, she was the daughter of the late Mildred (Keirstead) and the late Fred Elliott. 

 

Dorothy was an active member of her community in Coles Island where she lived 57 years and in Fredericton.  Activities included on the Executive of the Queen’s County Historical Society, Coles Island Home and School Association, Coles Island Baptist Aid and field clerk of the Baptist churches at Coles Island and Codys.  She was also an active member of the Grace Memorial Church seniors.  She was past president of the Fredericton Toastmasters club and enjoyed many public speaking events.

 

Dorothy is survived by sons, Gordon Wilson (Anita); Glendon Wilson (Judy); Dale Wilson (Kim Daley) all of Fredericton, daughter-in-law, Monique; grandchildren, Laura, Kurt, Kimberley, Kelsey, Melissa, Michael, Adam, Aaron, Chris, Todd and Scott, several great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
 

Besides her parents and her husband, she predeceased by her son Raymond Wilson and several brothers and sisters.

 

A private family interment will take place in Coles Island United Baptist Church Cemetery, at a later date, due to Covid-19. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Coles Island Cemetery Inc. or to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
