I never realized Eleanor’s middle name was Grace, but it’s so fitting. She was one of those behind the scenes, an unsung hero, who was always cooking for someone, or helping someone out. She was a giver, who gave of herself and just made the world a bit sweeter. I’ve got so many wonderful memories of Eleanor and I hope those same memories provide some solace for her family. She is so going to be missed. Heartfelt Sympathy to Janice and Brent and the rest of the family.

Janice and family,
thinking of you in your loss of your mother. I got to know Elinor in chatting with her over the phone and visiting with her with my mom, Margaret, at the Villa. I had fun going out to lunch with them as well and know that my mother will miss her terribly. She was a good friend to her, checked in with her often and always sent prayers her way. I am doing the same for her. She will be missed!

Our deepest sympathy to Eleanor's family on the loss of your dear mother, grandmother & great grandmother. Eleanor left a wonderful legacy which shows through in her dedicated family...your caring ways, love & attentiveness brightened her world. We are grateful to have enjoyed a very close friendship with Eleanor that began when she & I worked together at York Manor. Eleanor was a very strong, capable and motivated woman, who was also a great cook & sports enthusiast. We enjoyed many of her baking delights on a table set with fine china and crystal. We will cherish our many memories of shared good times. Eleanor touched our lives in the very best of ways & we will truly miss her, but we also take comfort knowing Eleanor's faith brought her peace knowing she was Heaven bound. Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs, we're very sorry for you loss. Janice & Keith Steeves

Sincerest condolences to all of Eleanor’s family. So hard to loose such a vibrant and treasured family member. She was a beautiful soul who touched many peoples lives in such positive ways. The friendship she had with my parents Bob & Sadie was beautiful and genuine, and enhanced their lives in such a meaningful way. It is comforting to know they are all together again. May the beautiful memories of her sustain and comfort you. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nancy Latimer, Mike Mance and family.

I am at a loss for words, and if Eleanor was here she would say that would be a first. I truly thought Eleanor would outlive us all. She was one strong lady and I truly enjoyed working with her for the nine years we were together at York Manor. She loved her job and was so dedicated to York Manor and it’s hard working employees. But she certainly loved her family more. You could see it on her face when she spoke of them, especially the grandchildren. My heart goes out to all of the family and to you, dear Betty, who was a great friend of Eleanor’s for many years. You are all in my heart and prayers. Love you all, Myrtle Corey McFadzen
