Obituary of Joyce Cyr

The passing of Joyce Cyr of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Claude Cyr occurred on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Shannex Neill Hall.  Born on March 22, 1932 in Devon, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Peacock) Burlock.  Joyce was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing bridge. 

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Lori Cyr of Vancouver, BC and Sherry Cyr of Gagetown, NB; sister, Muriel Mercer of Vancouver, BC; several nieces and nephews and two great-nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Shirley Burlock and Viola Whitfield; brothers in law, William “Bill” Mercer and Trevor Whitfield.

By Joyce’s request there will no visitation or service.  A Graveside Service will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or ElderDog Canada.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
