To Rolly's Family:
I met Rolly through the Fredericton Flying Club.....from the early days at Wilkin's Airstrip to the days when we flew out of Fredericton Airport. Although I was very young at the time, Rolly was a keen aviator and another person I looked up to as I started my aviation career as he was so enthusiastic of me doing so. My Dad also thought the world of Rolly and the last time I saw Rolly was at Dad's funeral in 1993. By that time I was flying big jets and Rolly really got a kick out of that when we talked a bit about it then.....
I send my deepest sympathies to the Family - he was just a great guy.

I met Rolly through curling in a Sussex mixed bonspiel, despite the fact we were both members at CWC. He was a joy, a light to be around. His passion for the game was infectious and in my competitive curling experience, no matter where the Provincial event was held, Rolly was in the stands. My condolences to his family, Rolly was a treasure and will truly be missed.

My sincere condolences to Jo Ann and Family as well as siblings Bernie, Sheila and Pat. Rolly grew up in Tracy less than a stones throw from our house. We did not run across one another for many years but I was always met with that Rolly smile and firm hand shake! He had to be the friendliest person on the planet, always positive, great story teller, a true sportsman and a fine gentleman! It was obvious the most important aspect of his life was his Family! Rolly will be missed!

Dear JoAnn and Family, Carol and I are very saddened and so sorry to hear of Rolly's passing. It was just a few weeks ago that Rolly and I had a great chat over the telephone reminiscing about the many good times we had curling at the club, and in the seniors, masters and numerous bonspiels. We even discussed our health issues.
Rolly had a wonderful knack to recall and relate curling game highlights, curling events, amusing incidents, and his personal experiences at work or otherwise. His stories were always enjoyed by everyone as the stories always brought a good chuckle, a smile or a sense of awe. Most of all, Rolly is thought of as a "good and dear friend" who will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Rolly loved his family and he thought the world of JoAnn. Carol and I are blessed to be friends of Rolly and JoAnn, and to know their family. We grieve with you at this very sad time.

Dear Joanne and family.. our hearts are saddened to hear of Rolly’s passing. I first met Rolly in 1964, we worked together a considerable amount over the years, always enjoyed our days and many nights working together. One year I had the privilege of curling with him, guess he was hard up for a lead, a fun year, and he had tons of patience with me! He will be missed. Garnet and Anita Jones.

Myself, like so many others in the world of sports and especially curling, had the pleasure of having Rolly as a teammate as well as an opponent. Regardless of the size you were on, Rolly would become a friend!. Rolly was competitive but also a sportsman and was an individual who, once you had met him, he did not forget you, nor did you forget him. He always had a friendly and warm smile during conversations during which he usually would add "do you remember the time ....." and then tell a story in his humorous manner. My condolences to Joann and the family. Rolly will be missed, but not forgotten.

I'm so sorry and saddened by Rolly's passing. He was a friend, coworker and my skip. Over a period of 40 years, we curled many games together. Most of the highlights of my years curling were with Rolly. He was a master of the rings. Few could think strategy or read ice as well as Rolly. I've have never known anyone who could remember past games and shots played like Rolly could. I've flown with Rolly at the controls and he almost had me convince to obtain my private pilot's license. RIP my friend.
My sincere condolences to JoAnne, Heather, Craig, Kevin, Karen and their families as well Bernie, Sheila and Patricia and their families.
