So sad to learn that Hap has passed on. We've known him since our college days at UNB. I first met him during Forestry Week in the fall of '62, he and Dave Boulter standing on the back bumper of a VW Beetle coming down around the bend from the Old Arts Building. And he and Pat in Bathurst where he worked in mid-60s with Bathurst Paper. A lot of memories piled on after those days.
Bonita and I send our condolences to Pat and their family.

Dear Oldham Family, Pat and the Children in particular,
I was dismayed to read of Hap's death at such a young age. Hap was the President of the FHS Class of 1959 which is where I got to know him, not really close ties, but we were always aware of each other. We too had a connection to the Limerick family and so could meet him there. He was a good class president! He was friendly, kind, able to organize and loyal to the school. A good man has gone, a little too early. You will all miss him dearly. This will be a sad time that you will be going through; John and I will hold you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult passage in your lives. God bless you all! The Oldham family seemed to be large and a bit scattered but you will all draw closer to help each other. Take time to grieve.
Sincerest condolences,
Shiela Watson White and John White

Pat, Andrew, Lori, Janice and the rest of the Oldham Family…
Please accept our offer of sympathy as you deal with the loss of Hap.
We have such fond memories of this tall man with the great smile and mischievous eyes as he walked along Robertson Point Road. Every now and then Hap would drop a bon mot — a cheery hello or clever riposte, followed by a hearty laugh.
Hap was the tall conifer in the forest; he cast a long shadow way beyond his distinguished career in the CFS. His roots live on in the branches of the Oldham family.
Fondly, Léona Savoie & Josh Beutel

Hap was a great uncle. I’ll never forget him turning his eyelids inside out for me, showing me the value of cold lobster, and truly enjoying his family. He built a life and a legacy anyone should be inspired by. I’ll miss you Uncle Hap.

Dear Pat and family, Zora and Gilbert,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Hap from UNB when he was approaching his senior years, as I was entering first year. He recognized me at a social event, possibly because I looked like my dad, Bob Armstrong.
As children, we used to visit with Hap and family on our summer trips to visit our NB relatives.
May Hap Rest In Peace and may memories warm your hearts!
Warm regards,
Ann Armstrong McLean
