Obituary of Lorraine MacNeill

The passing of Eva Lorraine MacNeill of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Darrell Elmer MacNeill occurred on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on August 14, 1941 in Nasonworth, NB, she was the daughter of the late Willliam and Mae (Mowry) Morgan.  Lorraine was someone who appreciated home but loved to experience adventures with her family travelling near and far.  Her faith in the Lord was a great comfort to her.  She was a longtime member of Devon Park Baptist Church.

Lorraine is survived by her children,  Kevin MacNeill (Shauna) of Rothesay, NB,  Kelly Zaniol (Brian) of Aldergrove, BC and Cheryl Grant (Calvin) of Upper Kingsclear, NB; grandchildren, Marissa, Craig and Jarrett MacNeill, Cole and Quinn Zaniol, Alexa and Noah Grant; sisters, Esther Ryan of Nasonworth, NB and Ilene Price of Fredericton, NB; sisters-in-law, Doris Morgan, Muriel Morgan and Carol Henry; brothers-in-law, Ralph MacNeill and Eldon MacNeill (Donna); several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was predeceased by her brothers, Manford Morgan and William Morgan; sister-in-law, Velma MacNeill and brother-in-law, Jim Henry.
 

It is the wish of the family that the services be kept to close family and friends due to the present health concerns.  Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 6-8 pm.  The Funeral Service will take place at Faith Baptist Church, 525 New Maryland Hwy, New Maryland, NB on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 2 pm with Rev. Larry Matthews officiating.  For those attending the visitation or funeral service, masks are required and will need to provide proof of double vaccination and government issued ID. Interment will take place in Nasonworth Baptist Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to the Fredericton SPCA.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
