Saddened to hear today of Lyman’s passing, having seen him and Lester in August when I was back in NB. I know him because of my dad’s connection with the Coy family, having worked at the bakery many years ago when he was still a teenager. He always spoke highly of Lyman and the Coy family.
Our sympathy is extended to the family.

To the Family of Lyman,
It has taken me a long time --too long to think about what to say about such a wonderful kind and smiling person. During my nine years on municipal council Lyman was dedicated to ensuring my important notes, during council meetings reached other councillors in a timely manner. I did not even need to put my hand up to get his attention. I would just look at him and he was there at my beck and call.
I am not certain I have ever known anyone with such a positive attitude and a dedication to his job.
I am sad that you no longer have him in your lives.
Please accept my sincere sympathy,
Brenda Johnston Sansom

There is no one I can think of that smiled more than Lyman. When I would tell him that, he would tell me he had lots to smile about. Good friends, a long career he enjoyed , a wonderful son and a great wife- a blessed life he would say. His smile was contagious and just being in his presence always brought a smile to my face. He was a true gentleman - genuine and so well respected by all . You always knew that both he and Carrie would be there for you if ever you needed a hand . Just so kind.
Its with a heavy heart that I say , we get busy and we put off calling and then the time has come you can't. My solace is the last time we had a phone conversation, I was able to tell him what a special person I thought he was and how privileged I was to have met him and a have him as a friend .And as I write this, what I would give Lyman, to play a board game , because I would beat you this time!
My thoughts are with you Carrie and to Andrew and Mary. I can just imagine the big loss you must feel in your lives, but I hope you can find peace in knowing the truly happy life he had and how much joy you brought him by loving him so much.
Hugs to you Both, Andree McLean

Ohhh Carrie, I am so very, very sorry to hear of Lyman leaving us. Nothing has hit me harder than to read his obituary with photo. It was only several weeks ago, he phoned me and we had a great chat!!! There was no one in the employ at City Hall that commanded more respect than Lyman.
I hope Carrie, you will be given the strength with Andrew to overcome this loss.

Andrew, Carrie & Family:
So sad to hear of Lyman's passing. I worked with him for many years at City Hall. He was a well respected co-worker by many, always caring about other's, helping out when you needed him. I enjoyed his many poems, stories and sense of humor. He was so proud of Andrew working for the City of Fredericton as well, and often commented to me about that.

To the Family of Lyman Coy:
On behalf of the Fisher Family, ex Miles St., South Devon, I extend my sincere condolences. The Coy's are South Devon icons and Lyman was an outstanding representative of the Family. I had the honour of meeting with Lyman at a Devon Boys luncheon not long ago on one of my trips back home......just a wonderful person to talk to and I just regret not being able to spend more time with him but there were so many old friends there that day. However, I will never forget him and his charm.
Thank you Lyman and thank you Coy Family for the wonderful past in our great neighbourhood.
Sincerely,
Chris Fisher

Carrie: Paulette and I were shocked when we read of Lyman's passing in today's paper. I have known Lyman since 1963 and Paulette since 1965 when he was best man at our wedding. We have not seen each other frequently over the years however you and Lyman have always been in our heart and thoughts. I still cherish the times Lyman and I hung out during the early 60's ( when we were both still single) and I do remember being at the bakery with Lyman. Just to let you and Andrew know that we will be thinking of you in your time of grief.
