At her home surrounded by family, Florence Marie McKeen passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Born in Jacquet River on March 28, 1952, Florence was the daughter of the late Theophalus and Isabelle Guitard and the wife of the late George Albert McKeen.
Left to mourn are her beloved children, Carman (Brenda) McKeen; Mary (Tracey) Paul; Georgina (Mindy) McKeen and Laurie (Andrea) McKeen; grandchildren, Jessica (Justin), Jamie (Kennedy), Garett (Kaylee), Hannah, Michael, and Axel; her sister, Rose Marie (Ben) Driscoll; several nieces and nephews. Florence was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband and siblings, Patricia, Delia, Clarence and Stella; as well as nieces and nephews.
Florence spent her life as a devoted stay-at-home Mom, and her grandchildren were her life and source of joy in her later years. She enjoyed socializing with friends and family and was an avid bingo player.
Interment will take place in Kingsclear Baptist Cemetery on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 2 pm. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
