Obituary of Kenneth Michael Savage

Kenneth (Ken) Michael Savage of Fredericton, NB, husband of Wanda (Miller) Savage, passed away suddenly at home on July 31, 2021. Born on December 22, 1956 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Vivian (Murray) and William "Bill" Savage.

Ken worked for NB Power for over 40 years, before retiring as a Linesmen Instructor in 2017. He had a gift for teaching, which extended beyond his job, into his everyday life. He was a car enthusiast, who loved to drive, race, and restore classic cars. He also loved taking people out for adventures on his four-wheelers and new side-by-side. He was an avid craftsman, who liked working with metal and could fix or build anything. He was known for his problem solving skills and was always the person to call when things were broken or something needed to be fixed. When he wasn’t doing one of these things, he always enjoyed ‘tormenting’ Larry.

Ken will be deeply missed by his wife; his sons, Ryan Savage (Jessica Fowler) of Douglas and Scott Savage of Fredericton; brothers-in-law, Stephen Miller (Lisa), Wayne Miller (Patti); his “sister”, Linda Trofimuk; his “niece”, Brynn Trofimuk; and his best friend and brother-by-choice Eric Piercy. He was also loved and will be warmly remembered by a large extended family and many friends.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home Ltd, 302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The funeral will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in, St Thomas United Church Cemetery, at a later date.
