S. James (Jim) Stewart Jim was born July 7, 1946 at Fredericton, New Brunswick. He grew up in Marysville with a family of seven brothers and sisters. Following his high school education, Jim worked for the Government of New Brunswick, Georgia Electric in Fredericton, New Brunswick and St. Anne Pulp & Paper Mill, Nackawic, NB as an accountant. Jim married Margaret MacIntyre and raised three children, Nancy, Mike and Donna in the small town of Harvey, NB. After divorcing and retiring, Jim moved to Assiniboia, Saskatchewan in 2004 to reside with his partner, Linda who is handicapped. Jim helped Linda while he struggled with his own health for many years. In January of 2020 he moved to the Ross Payant Nursing Home passing away peacefully at age 74 from leukemia on February 21, 2021. Jim loved his family and friends. He kept many entertained with his great sense of humor and passion of music. He also liked gardening and barbecuing. He loved birds, sports, his favorite teams the Atlanta Braves, Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Blue Jays.

Jim is survived by his partner, Linda Stewart, three children Nancy (Will) Hachey, Michael (Andrea) Stewart, and Donna Stewart (Kyle MacDonald); three grandchildren Dominick, Hope and Evan; brother Fred and sisters Merna, Joyce and their families, step children Brett (Amanda Colles) Stewart, Darla (C.J.) Matombe. Predeceased by sisters Joan, Shirley, brother Melvin/Hecky, brothers-in-law Bob Dunphy, Charlie Jones, sister-in-law Mary Stewart and parents Mae and Henry Stewart.

A Service of Remembrance for Jim will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel by invitation only. Donations may be made to Royal Canadian Legion (legion branch of your choice). Expressions of sympathy for the Stewart family may be shared at www.yorkfh.com
