Obituary of Vinna Joan White

The passing of Joan White occurred at home on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.  Joan was the daughter of Lloyd and Lorraine (Cookson) MacLellan. Joan worked at York Manor Nursing Home for 12 years, before retiring.  She loved to spend time with her family, travelling with Howdie, and sitting on the deck at the trailer.

Joan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Howard “Howdie” White; children, Kelly Anderson (Ian), Kimberly Stephenson (Jon) and Lloyd White (Dorothy); eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Lou Pond (Clifton) and David MacLellan (Mary Anne); several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 11-1 pm; followed by the Funeral Service at 2 pm with Rev. Stephen Hoyt officiating.  Funeral will be by invitation; the public are invited to attend via www.yorkfh.com live funeral webcast. Interment will take place in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Building Funds River Valley Baptist Church or the Heritage Baptist Church.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
