I well remember Jim, from when I used to work at the Canadian Paraplegic Association (NB) Inc...now Ability New Brunswick, and Jim had volunteered there at the time.He was a joy to be around, as he made us laugh constantly with his good sense of humour. He was kind and down to earth, and had some great stories. May he rest deeply in peace, and rejoice greatly in his heavenly reward. May his family be comforted with knowing the positive difference he made for so many. I know he will be missed.

Condolences to the family and friends of Flub. While we never met Flub we felt we new him through conversations with his sister Sue and brother in-law Gerry.

My condolences to his family and friends. Sorry for your loss. I knew Jim and Gisele through wheelchair sports (and recreational activities) in the 1970s & 80s and always liked being around them. I have good memories of Jim and am sorry he has passed on.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Flub, I will always cherish the time spent with him in Fredericton as a child, teaching me how to ride 4 wheelers and snow mobiles. The pain and struggle in his final days was felt and shared by his family and although his passing is hard to deal with, there is solace in knowing that he is no longer in pain. I'm very proud to know how in particular my mother Susan helped him as much as she could with every fiber of her being. I wish I could have spent more time with you Uncle Flub, your memory will live on inside all of us.
Love your nephew,
Ryan

I will always remember Uncle Flub as a fellow dog lover. I was always fascinated that he had Pit Bulls and Chihuahuas and that the smaller dog always seemed to run the show. He always wanted to hear about our dogs — even the ones he never met — because that’s what dog lovers do ❤️. I take comfort now in thinking that he has reconnected with many of his beloved animals in a place where he can now walk freely among them. Rest in love and comfort and enjoy an eternity of dog kisses!
Love your niece— Jaime xo

Flub's friendly easy going attitude made it easy to like him. I have certainly gained a lot of respect for him knowing the daily challenges that he faced as a paraplegic.
I always thought of him more as a brother rather than a brother-in-law.
He was taken too soon, after he fought so hard.
I will miss him, Rest In Peace.

His family all knew him as "Flub". He was very friendly and outgoing and well liked. He had had a pretty difficult life, but he didn't let that define him. He always loved his dogs over the years and loved hearing stories of anyone else's. I will miss our nightly phone calls going over our events of the day. We had become very close over the last number of years with all the hurdles we worked to overcome. I will truly miss you and am glad that your pain has finally ended. I love you Flub. Rest In Peace. Love Sue xoxo
