Dear Elizabeth and Family,
We are so sorry to learn of the passing of your handsome dad. I am reminded of a quote I used with my own dad's eulogy. "When I was young I thought daddies lived on and on. I guess I was wrong"- Dan Hill I can only imagine the delight you brought to your dad and the wonderful memories you and your family have to share. Life is different after our dad's leave us but I am convinced they give us memories to help us through the grief. Please accept our sincere sympathy; we understand. David and Brenda

From The Submariners Association of Canada East here in Halifax we offer our condolences to the family of Lou Martel. Many of us remember Lou who served in Submarines from 1966 to about 1974. I also sailed with Lou onboard HMCS Okanagan and were together during the Okanagan accident with RFA Grey Rover in the Clyde Estuary in Scotland on 28 July 1973. Good time remembered with Lou. A true gentleman and great submariner. Another submariner from the “Okanagan Crunch Crew” has crossed the Bar. RIP Lou.
