Sending our heartfelt condolences to your family. Kara was a wonderful woman who brought many years of friendship to my Mom, Paulina Rompelman. Mom refused to give up driving because then "how would I go visit Klara every week". They were able to visit some still when circumstances brought them to hospital and then to York Care Centre at the same time. I remember when they could visit during tea time in the first few years on Sunday afternoon. May Klara rest in eternal peace, light perpetual shine on her and God's blessings be upon you all. My condolences to Margriet , John and Corby. Our connection goes back about 53 years ago when your father helping us to move our big storage crate with his truck to our temporary apartment and you mother made us comfortable when we just came to Canada. Yes there are a lot of memories of the Cloudy Road and later St Mary`s Street. Often, as Paulina drove away in her car saying; Henk I am going to visit Klara` Klara en Paulina became also next room neighbors for some months in the Chalmers Hospital and after that York Care Centre became both their final destination. While Paulina`s mind was slowly deteriorating because of her Alzheimer disease they where still able to communicate together until talking was not possible anymore. However Klara was always talking to her while holding her hands. For 5 years we were dropping in for a visit so ones in a while. And of course there were the social gatherings. Thanks Klara for always being so nice to Paulina. Henk
