The passing of Shirley Arlene (Banks) Lyons of Fredericton Junction formerly of Fredericton, NB wife of the late Conway Lyons occurred on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at White Rapids Manor. Born on September 23, 1929 in Nashwaaksis, NB, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Beulah (Merrithew) Banks. Shirley worked as an Office Clerk at Auto Machinery. She was a member of the Marysville Baptist Church; the Marysville Auxiliary Branch # 15 and the Pythion Sisters of Fredericton Celestial Temple # 19.
Shirley is survived by her sister in law, Betty Haines; nieces, Catherine and Maureen; nephews, Earle and David; great nieces and nephews, Christopher, Kevin, Dempsey, Rachel, Sarah, Sean, and special mention to niece, Katie. In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was predeceased by her brother, Earl “Buzz” Banks (Marie).
There will be no services by her request. A Graveside Service will take place in Marysville Baptist Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
