Dear Mavis, Fred, and Trudy (and family),
I was so saddened to learn of Monna's passing; I am truly sorry for your loss. One recent memory I have of her is during her birthday celebration at the camp, while she recalled her younger years with such ease. Her family and friends gathered around, captivated, while she described her early years with vivid details, allowing us to go along with her to an earlier time. She was such a witty, remarkable, poised lady. I know that her legacy will live on strongly with her family, and through the people that she touched throughout her many years. Her homecoming in heaven will be a joyous occasion, reuniting with her beloved husband, and Grandson.
Love Alison & Scott Charlton

Dear Mavis, Fred,Trudy and families,
With heartfelt condolences, I send my love to you all on this most sad occasion.
Monna was certainly the epitome of kindness and generosity and sincerity; this tiny but mighty woman was unique in so many ways. She always had a kind uplifting word for all those whom she met and always made me feel special.
Maya Angelou once said that ‘we should leave someone better than when we found them ‘. This was certainly true of Miss Monna; she had a way of always brightening one’s day with her words. When I envision Monna, I see her sitting fully upright in a chair, dainty hands upon her lap...head tilted to one side..listening intently...with an ever-present calm about her. That is how I choose to remember her. Mavis and Fred, you have been her guardian angels, always protecting and ensuring that her every need was met. I know that you, as well as Darren and Trudy, were devoted to her...and that she left this life for another..encircled in love.
I know that Monna carried her fine qualities and her radiant smile to another realm...homeward bound...to be with Garnet and with Darren...what a grand reunion it would have been! God bless. Love, Deanna

Monna was such a kind, loving lady! My mother, father and my grandmother (Emma Miner) spoke of Monna many times. I also can remember going to Stedman's and seeing her there. She always took time to talk to everyone and offer any help needed. I know Fred, Mavis, Trudy and family will miss her dearly!! You are in our thoughts and prayers!!
