To Ellen,
My sincere condolences to you. I first met you with your Dad when you were a young girl at a function at Old Government House (OGH) related to the CIBC Run for the Cure for Breast Cancer. You were under 5 years old and I took photos of the both of indoors standing near the speakers platform with pink and white balloons in the background. You may have been only three. He was so proud of you. I gave those photos to your Dad. Over the next 5-6 years I worked closely with Tim planning, related to the Run Day as well as the years when the Breast Cancer Survivors Tea was hosted by the LG at OGH. We worked well together. He was always the consummate professional, The last time that I saw the two of you together was when you were about 11 years old.It was very obvious to me from the time that you were a little girl , that the two of you had a strong father-daughter bond. My thoughts are with you. Kindest regards.

My sincere condolences on such a huge loss… My memories of Tim will always be associated with Government House and his knowledge of our province and of Government House itself and every item in it. I was fortunate to attend several of his presentations and the last time I spoke with him was in December 2018 when he agreed to host a group of older adults who were writing their life story. It was the highlight of our year. Forever grateful to have met him..

Dearest Ellen, Grancy and Elizabeth - Ellen your tribute to your father is absolutely beautiful and my heart is so heavy over the loss of your father, son, brother and my very dear friend. Tim was such a dynamo in everything he did and we loved to brain storm ideas for events, menus, decor (including ditch art) and as a confident he always had an ear and a perspective like no one else I have ever met. His passion for his career was immense, his love of home, garden, antiques and all things wonderful was unparalleled. But Ellen nothing compared to his absolute devotion and love for his beautiful Daughter. From planning your Halloween costumes, to collecting treasures on the beach to create amazing crafts to just being with you and teasing you "I not Cranky". was truly where he was the happiest! Treasure these amazing memories and please know I am here if you ever need anything at all. Rest Easy Timothy, we will take it from here!!!

Ellen, I am deeply saddened with the news of your fathers passing. I first met your Dad in high school, but it was in our 20s when we became good friends. I can’t remember where or when we first connected, but it just seemed like he was always a part of my close circle of friends during those years.
I moved away for many years, but every time I was home and ran into Tim, we would have a great chat, a catch up, and a few laughs. You were the shining light in his life and he beamed with pride when he spoke of you. I met you a few times when you were very young and from your words, you have clearly grown into a lovely young lady and I am so sorry for your loss. The memories you shared are enduring and they will carry you through these trying times. I lost my Dad six years ago, and over time, it is the laughter and fun times you will remember most.
Tim was a kind, funny, thoughtful, and caring man, and I will remember him always by his cheerful greetings, never ending smile, and infectious laugh.
My deepest condolence to you, Nancy, and family. Tim will be missed.

Dear Ellen,
You are beautiful.
Although I knew of Tim, I first met him when he interviewed me for Sunday File. It was early in my career and I was working with the Boys and Girls Club in Fredericton. Tim took interest in a program we were running and gave it much needed exposure through his platform. It ultimately made the program a success.
Tim was always kind to Steph and me - no matter how busy he would stop and take time to catch up. Of course, he always shared how proud he was of you.
I will miss seeing Tim, his smile, our shared laughter and his heartfelt concern for others.
Our hearts, too, are heavy from his passing.
With great love and holding you in our thoughts,

Dear Ellen, please accept my condolences on your tragic loss. In the 1990s, when I was a reporter at the Gleaner, your father’s path and mine crossed many, many times. It was always a pleasure to run into him at press conferences and at City Hall, where his presence made some very dull meetings much more fun. He was a gifted storyteller, but he also possessed the rarer gift of being a good listener. I enjoyed his anecdotes about youthful escapades, learned much from his vast knowledge of all things Fredericton, and benefited from his advice about refinishing furniture. (Condition the wood before you even think about stain and varnish.) Cherish your beautiful memories, and let them comfort you now and forever.

Dearest Ellen,
Your Dad was one of my best friends in high school and although we lost touch, I too, feel a very deep sense of loss at his passing. I offer my deepest sympathy to you and your family.
My memories and photos of all of our antics still make me laugh. I will always remember an afternoon at your great grandfather's house: It was Christmas time and Elizabeth was making eggnog (with way too much rum). The container was too big to fit in the fridge so she put it outside (without a lid). We all forgot the eggnog was outside when we let Taffy (the golden retriever) outside. Poor Taffy inhaled the eggnog and was totally tanked. Tim and I carried her downstairs and laid her in front of the fire place where we stayed with her until she sobered up. I thought we would die laughing.
Tim was a wonderful comedian who did the most hilarious impersonation of the Evangelist, Ernest Angley. He entertained both on the stage and at every opportunity.
Your Dad, my friend Tim will always be remembered in my heart as a talented, funny and wonderful individual who will not be forgotten.
Sincerely,
Lehanne Stocek Knowlton

Dear Ellen and Family & Friends
My fondest memories of Tim are when I was involved with the many events at Government House. He was the consummate professional with an engaging wit. I never had any concern that the event wouldn’t play out, as we had organized it. He always went the extra mile to ensure that.
The best two events of course, were the visits of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, along with Prince Charles and the Duchess Of Cornwall.
Rest In Peace now Tim, good and faithful servant and the photo attached says it all. May everyone be reminded of this, as hard as it may be.

Dear Ellen, Please accept my sincere condolences. Your dad and I go back along way even just before he had his radio program the Sunday File. He would cover the school board meetings when I was Superintendent of Schools and he was with CIHI.
Nancy would be a regular at Tim Issac auctions and sit right in the front row. We would tease her as she was always buying something as a "winter work project for Tim". More recently, we got to work closely together at Government House when I was Executive Director with the O'Brien Foundation and he would make all the arrangements for the Annual Reception. Your dad was a wonderful personality. I could relate so well to the excellent submission you placed in todays newspaper.
God's best to you Ellen! Barry

My heart breaks for this terrible loss. Tim was always so kind and gracious. I first met him when he interviewed me for his radio show, probably the early 90’s. We sat in my office in the Centennial building and I went from being very nervous to totally charmed and relaxed. We renewed our acquaintance at government house and he was such an incredible supporter of so many of my causes, often offering wise and useful advice. He made everyone feel welcome and valued. He often spoke of you Ellen, clearly the centre of his universe and I know how very concerned he was when his mother was so ill. He will be missed by many, many people. My condolences.

Hi Ellen,
I am so sorry about the loss of your beloved Dad.
I worked with him for many years in radio, considered him a friend, and want to share with you some of my memories of him.
Back in our radio days, your Dad loved driving his SUV, which he lovingly referred to as the ‘grocery-getter’, and we would escape work early some days and roam around the city in it.
He introduced me to the delicious fish chowder at the then-Tingley’s grocery store, and we grabbed lunch there quite often.
He inspired my love of antiques, and I often got to see the creations he was working on his basement.
He would get so excited about his stories for The Sunday File and would spend hours upon hours working on the show, sourcing music and putting it all together. It was fun to watch him work.
He hosted an amazing scavenger hunt at his Charlotte Street house one time that I attended, a ton of fun followed up by some great food.
He had a great laugh, would call things ‘ginormous’ (I still think of him when I hear that word) and we had a lot of fun working together at Radio One.
I will remember him fondly always, and I wish him peace.
My most sincere condolences to you, Nancy, Elizabeth, and all who loved him.
Sincerely,
Cathie Metcalfe
