Obituary of Murray Chester Scott

 

SCOTT, MURRAY CHESTER

The passing of Murray Chester Scott of Fredericton, NB occurred on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  He was born on December 8, 1939, following after his twin sister, Muriel.  He was always full of surprises as he was born in the sack, and his grandmother pricked it and out he came making his presence known.  He was the son of the late Chester and Evelyn (McLaughlin) Scott.

 

He married Sharon Merrithew in 1969, and they had four children, Joel (Pamela) and Penny (Mitch) Scott-Merisma, Jennifer-Jo (Peter) MacNeill and Angelina (Shane) Mann; 12 grandchildren, Karla, Miquel, Monika, Kristina Serrano and Tristan Scott, Tye and Hailey Mann, Jack, Violet and Gavin MacNeill, and Lilly and Evelyn Scott; his siblings, Glenn (Carolyn), Harvard, Neill (Gisele), Wayne (Lynn), Lloyd, Melva Scott and Debbie Boles; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his twin sister, Muriel, and sister-in-law, Donna.

 

Murray was a member of Nashwaaksis Baptist Church, and all donations made in his honour can be made to the Church for Missions. 

 

There will be no funeral or visitation.  A Private Family Graveside Service will take place at Pickard-Merrithew Cemetery with his nephew, Rev. Carlos Conception and Rev.
