Copp, Joyce Constance

The passing of Joyce Constance Copp of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Alvin Copp, occurred on June 23, 2020 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on March 21, 1926 in Northampton, England,  she was the daughter of the late Daisy (Vernon) and Herbert Oxley. Joyce worked as a Dressmaker. Joyce was a member of the Nashwaaksis United Church, she was also a former member of the Golden Eagles Shuffle Board Club, Silver Dolphin Swimming Club at UNB and the Tuesday afternoon seniors bowling group. She was an avid gardener and a talented painter.

Joyce is survived by her children, Jackie Murray (Maurice), Robert Copp (Pattie) and Wendy Hill; grandchildren, Andrew (Kelly), Melissa (Rob Gimby), Kristy, Sarah (Angela), Kyle and Trevor; great grandchildren, Jack, Luke, Grant, Claire, Alisha (Francis), and Savannah (Alex); great great grandson, Logan; nieces, Barb, June, Anne, Hillary and Linda; nephews, Jim and Mike. In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was predeceased by her first husband Peter Bowden; brother, Donald Oxley and sister, Eileen Kitchen (Stewart).
 

A Private Family Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
