Sad to hear of your loss. Most of my memories of Jim are from when i was a child and young adult. I just remember all the laughs and fun times we had with my mom and dad (Joanne and Hank) and Sally and Jim. Hope you all are remembering the many good times. Your Dad, and husband was a kind and fun person

The Keswick Ridge Fire Department sends their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of our founding Chief, James Doull. Thank you, Jim, for your dedication to this small community and the safety of its citizens. Although Chief Doull has not been a member for many years, his legacy continues to grow and strengthen in the traditions he founded. There are still many reminders in the station of his presence to those of us who are still there.

Sally, Susan, Janet, Peter & Families, we are truly saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. Although we have lost contact over the years, we have many fond memories of the years spent as neighbors on the Rocky Road and the exceptional Day Care provide to our son and daughter...not to mention, jam sessions, Jug Band, Scouts, and many other community activities, always accompanied by that infectious laugh. Jim was totally committed to his Family, Friends, fellow Musicians, and, a respected professional in his field of Fire Technology. May the memories of the wonderful years enjoyed together bring a smile to your faces as you look back beyond the grief of this difficult time. Our deepest condolences. RIP JIm. Glynn & Esther Norman

Jim always had a smile on his face! The last few times we met was right in Hartland in the barber shop. That first visit, I recognized him right away, however, he did not recognize me...after all it had been almost 15 years since we had last seen one another. I had great fun asking about all the family all the while seeing the look on his face, desperately, trying to put a name to my face. Near the end of the haircut, he finally turned right around, squinting, and asked, "Who are you anyway?" Upon realizing who I was, his smile lit the whole shop and we had the most wonderful walk down memory lane. Of course, he entertained all the others in the shop as well. There are many memories of a fellow who always took the time to include me as a kid and that was pretty cool. Other memories are: how fascinating it was to me as a kid to see how he painted all of his tools so he would know they were his(as would anyone who borrowed them), helping Dad pull the quills out of our old dog's face, explaining to me how a fire extinguisher worked, teaching me the importance of leaning the garden rake up to the wall with the tines facing in, and taking me for a ride in the fire truck. I need not go into all the times with the Jug Band...Jim will be missed and I am glad for these fond memories. You all will be in my thoughts and please give Sally a hug from me. Jonathan Stephenson

I was a forest technician working for JD Irving limited when Jim Doull was hired on to oversee the fire operations of Irving Woodlands.
It was plain to see at the very start that Jim had a passion for what he did he was an avid fire fighter Forrester and a very strong work ethic.
I met Jim again when he was overseas in the development of a cranberry bog in major bill actually he and Peter his son were both involved for a short period of time and again Jim showed his passion and commitment to get a job done.
As it says in his obituary Jim always has a story to tell and often those stories including his family which he showed that he truly loved.
I want to express my condolences to the entire family I’m very sorry for your loss I know he will be missed.
