Obituary of Alma Vera Farrer

FARRER, ALMA VERA

The passing of Alma Vera Farrer, wife of the late Ernest Farrer of Fredericton, NB, occurred peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 17, 2020.  Born on March 15, 1922 in South Portage, NB, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Lily (McConnell) MacKay. She retired from Capital Co-op. She was a member of Devon Park Baptist Church and enjoyed her veranda, her walks on a sunny day, her fur babies, watching the birds and Charlie the squirrel.

Alma is survived by her sons, Howard Farrer (Barb), Allison; daughter, Debbie (Gary Allen); six grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Tracy, Darren, Tasha and Adam; 11 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Jessica, Tori, Reese, Riley, Emily, Kyle, Lily, James, Octavia and Rori; great-great-granddaughters, Laurel and Patience Maple; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her infant son, William; sisters, Pearl, Edith, Della and Gertie; brother, Cecil.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of York Funeral Home. There will be no public services at this time. A Private Graveside Service will be held at the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery.
