My condolences on the passing of Connie. I recall with fondness her wit and dedication when I worked with her and Donna Butler on GIS out of the Brunswick Street office. The workload was heavy, fast and in your face and most all of it ended up on their desk at one time or other for administrative support so critical to recording the process of investigations and preparing for court procedures. Connie was always up to the task regardless of deadlines yet had time to appreciate and provide jokes to lighten the pressure of the job. She was quite capable as well in putting certain members (no names mentioned) in their place when their actions or comments were a bit offside. May she rest in peace. Mike Connolly.

My sincere condolences to Connie's family. I had the privilege of working with Connie at the RCMP headquarters during 1967-1971. Connie was a most pleasant and happy person, a very efficient worker, one of a kind secretary.

Barnie and Gail, Hazen and Connie Mae, and ALL Members of Connie's Family -
Words are very hard to find to express the feelings of loss we (as well as countless others) are experiencing with the sudden passing of our dear friend. Connie (having spent her childhood in Tay Falls) and I (Shirley - having spent mine in Woodlands) never met until she came to work for the RCMP in Old Government House - and we've been in one another's lives ever since.
Our family is truly blessed to have had our longtime friendship with both Connie and Dick - we shared good and bad/happy and sad times in our lives. We are SO VERY fortunate to have our treasured memories to carry with us for the rest of our days. Life is forever changed with the loss of our true friend. - Love you and miss you forever, Connie.
- Most sincerely sent - Shirley and Cedric Munn.
We want you to know we are here
for all of you to help you cope with
your tremendous loss.

I met Connie through my mother Audrey Belyea, and was impressed with her calm, centered, and cheerful nature. She was always genuinely interested in how my sister Lori, brother Chris and I were doing in school and in life. I am heartbroken for her dear friends; Mom, Dianne & family, Harriet, Shirley, Doreen and so many others. I will always remember her lively, sparkling eyes and generous soul. We are all fortunate to have known her.

Through the NB RCMP Veterans Assoc. I just learned of the passing of this lovely lady Connie Jones. I certainly had not seen Connie since the early days of my career working in “J” Div. HQ. And yes even after all those years I certainly remember the friendly personality of this lovely lady. To all of Connie’s Family and many friends, I extend my sincere sympathy. May all know the peace and comfort that goes beyond all understanding extending to us always from the Lord our God, but especially in times of loss and grief. Sincerely.

Connie and I worked together in the General Investigation Section on Smythe Street in the late 70's. Connie was a true professional; always well organized and ready, willing and able to offer a helping hand whenever and wherever needed. I'm sure I'm not the only member of the Force who owes Connie a debt of gratitude for her contribution to our careers.
My sincere condolences to Connie's family and friends.

To Barney, Hazen and your families:
I am so saddened and want to share with you Barney and Hazen and families . Connie and I were friends since high school days ...and as you know, this is where she met her husband, Dick Jones.. I still remember Dick glancing over Connie's desk many tmes in Grade 12. I knew there was something brewing..... And our friendship continued in our careers with the RCMP J Division Fredericton. We had lots of good times, lots of laughs over the years. and even continued our friendship upon each other's retirement... up to less than a week ago when we chatted on the phone.
I am deeply hurt of Connie's passing...I wish to convey my condolences to her dear family whom she fondly spoke of. As well Connie spoke well of her many dear friends.
My son and family from London, Ontario sent me a floral bouqet, with their condolence to me in the loss of my friend, Connie. . With the pandemic there is no way to grieve with dear friends and families; the flowers prompted me to share on Facebook. RCMP personnel, and regular members voiced their heartfelt comments about Connie. Comments such as .."she was one in a million" . Regular RCMP members mention the days working in GIS and Drug Section...one said "she was a very patient lady", and "was appreciated colleague while in Commercial Crime Section and of the fond memories of Connie." thus she was always highly regarded within the RCMP family; she ( Connie) had such wonderful bonding friendships with all of the Public Servants in "J" Division one of which was Shirley Munn, whom she looked upon as her mentor and close friend.
Sorry for your loss!
Warm Regards,
Audrey E. Belyea
Friend and Colleague

Dear Connie, you were one of the most gifted people in our 'behind the scenes' operations over so many years! A true talent in confidentiality and professionalism!! AND most importantly of all - for me - was meeting you in the hallway.... I would do everything I could to make you smile - because your precious dimples would make my day every time!!! I'm so glad to have been a part of your career!

In loving memory of Connie Jones (née Jeffrey). I had the good fortune to enjoy lunch with Connie and her good friends Audrey Belyea (my Mother) and Harriet Hildebrand on the 16 of September 2019. Another dear friend who had also passed too soon the year prior was there in spirit, their dear friend Juanita Crawford.
Connie, Audrey, Harriet and Juanita met in their youth and have many stories to tell from their long association. My Mom Audrey also had the good fortune to work with Connie at the RCMP for nearly 30 years. Connie had only the kindest words for others with a wry and dry wit that brought a smile to your face.
Words cannot express my sorrow to her family and her friends, including her brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Heartfelt condolences as well to Dianne Saunders and family who are like a second family to Connie.
We will keep vigil until we can celebrate her life in person. Our thoughts are with you all at this difficult time.
