Tom was so helpful with the Terry Fox Run, when it was held along the Green several years ago. He measured out the distances, set up key turn around signs, and did this all very quietly. A beautiful silent and helpful presence. I think he even set up the electronic clock which was borrowed from the Capital City Roadrunners. When we asked him if he could help, he said yes immediately.
He appeared to be a very quiet person, very likeable, it was a pleasure to have crossed his path in this life. We will miss his quiet presence.

Jim and I are so sad to hear of Tom's death. We will miss him. We often, while driving home to Douglas, saw Tom running along the ring road. You could spot him a long way off, his gait was unmistakable. We made friends with Tom when we first joined the running club in 2000, I remember because he ran without socks in the coldest weather... He was a great running friend. He was a gentle soul. The last time we ran with him he spoke about how proud he was of his kids. We are very sorry for your loss.

I miss you dad. I'll miss our runs, our talks about runs, having a good beer together and tasting any new beer you got excited about, watching you play with my kids, our Sunday evening walks and runs on the trail, sitting down by the water or at the boathouse and watching the river and sunset, I'll miss that you were always a call away, and always egar to help me with a house project - as you were a handyman and knew a bit about everything! Most of all I'll miss the simple ways you brought joy to my life, you were always so patient and kind, I never saw you get angry and you were always happy to see me and wanting to be involved in my life. I'll miss you stopping by unexpectedly while out for a run or bike ride, just to say hello.
I am blessed that you were my dad and thankful for all our memories. I wish you weren't taken from us so soon, I love you dad.

To Tom Reddon's family and friends,
I met Tom at a course measuring workshop in Fredericton a few years ago. His quiet deameanour, friendly approach and his mindfulness for accuracy and understanding made his presentation so agreeable. Every time we met afterward, it was always so pleasant to exchange about running and course measuring. The running community has lost a good friend, a competent instructor and a Runner.
