Dear James, Joan, Jean and Families...
With Deepest Sympathy on the death of your Dad!
Your Mom and Dad were a very special couple!
It seems like only yesterday that we babysat.
We have lots of fond memories of you growing up.
(Jean taught us that it was not OK to put regular dish soap
In the Dishwasher! There was a special kind.)
Thoughts and Prayers are with you through this very difficult time...
May God give you strength in the days ahead...

I was on the teaching staff in the business end Department of James M. Hill, 1974-75. One of the best schools I had taught in under Jim Doyle. He was a wonderful administrator! My condolences to the family.

One of my very favorite teachers. He always had a kind word for people. He was an innovator, loved education, and had such a sense of fair play that many people would solicit his advice. A kind and gentle man. He and Greg Morris made high school "fun." My condolences to the family. Our loss is heaven's gain. Jim Stacey

I was very saddened to read about Mr. Doyle's passing this morning. He was a wonderful, dedicated principal...one of the best! He was always smiling and as someone else mentioned...such a gentleman. We will all miss him....I, too used to see him at the grocery store...he would always take the time to have a chat. My condolences to his entire family.

Jimmy was my favorite Principle! He championed the beginning years of JMH Memorial High School and left a legacy there, that only a few exceptional educators, could uphold. Mr. Doyle was a respected and compassionate community leader and always had time to lend an ear and give advice. I took great pleasure in meeting him on his daily grocery outings and getting his take on the upcoming weather predictions. He loved his family and was the true meaning of a gentleman, while he cared for the love of his life, Eileen. I am grateful for the time I was able to see his devotion, first hand. A favorite memory that I share with another who knew him much better than I did, always brings a smile to my face and perfectly describes his Irish sense of humour.....when talking about couples who had been married then divorced, Jim would say of those relationships "they didn't take". Rest easy Sir and Blessings to your family, as they feel the grief of your loss.

Ken and I offer our condolences to the Doyle family. Jim was our first principal when we started our teaching careers. He was a great principal - very caring and compassionate. He gave the toast to the bride at our wedding - Ken and I met when we both arrived to start our teaching careers at JMH. He was a great mentor and a wonderful man. He will be missed. I would like to offer my condolences to Mr. Doyle's family.
I attended St.Thomas, District #10 and JMH in the older building while he was our principal, both for junior and senior high, from 1967-1972. He always supported the week-end activities that I would organise, as long as I had a couple of teachers to chaperone. I was in his office at least twice a week to announce our activities. I was so surprised when one of my sisters met him, many years later and he had asked her if we were related!
