Obituary of Vicky Morrison

The passing of Doris Violet Grace occurred at York Care Centre, Fredericton, NB on Thursday, April 9, 2020.  She was formerly of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Alexander Morrison (1977).  Born on October 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Florence (Slater) Coomber.  Doris arrived at Pier 1 Halifax as a War Bride in 1946. Mom was a talented seamstress and enjoyed many crafts over the years.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Joy Cummings (Clifford) of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren, Kim Henry (Tim) of Fredericton, NB, Kelly Lacey (Perry) of Quispamsis, NB, Jeffrey Cummings (Genevieve) of Montreal, QC, Michael Morrison (Tammy Lacombe) and Karen Morrison both of Saint John, NB; 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandson, Elias.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Elsie Mills (Ernie) of Shorham, England and son, Glenn John Morrison (2019) of Saint John, NB.

There will be no services, cremation to take place.  Thank you to the staff that cared for mom over the last four and half years at York Care Center, Tower 1 and 2.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
