Obituary of Patrick Shawn Daniels

The passing of Patrick Shawn Daniels of Fredericton, NB occurred on Tuesday, April 7, 2020. Born on March 9, 1963 in Dalhousie, NB, he was the son of the late Michael Daniels and Janet Knowles.

Patrick was a graduate of the University of New Brunswick, having accomplished a BSc, BEd and M.Ed, despite his struggles with dyslexia. He went on to research learning disabilities in children and was recognized for his accomplishments by receiving a Canadian Medal and Certificate of Honour. His ongoing studies led him to Labrador where he was very proud of his work as a school Psychologist.

Patrick is survived by his brother, Michael (Brenda) of Mississauga, ON; sisters, Tricia Van Roeden (Harmen) of Killarney, NB, Stephanie Langley (Branton) of Pasadena, NL, Lesley Burke (Charles) of Lincoln, NB and their mother, Patti Daniels (Phil Hepditch). He was known as “uncle Bub” to his nieces and nephews.  The family would like to express their gratitude to Patrick’s friends, especially Devin and Eric for the kindness and support shown to him over the years.

Due to the current public advisory with regard to Covid 19 and gatherings, there will be no service. Interment will take place in Arthurette at a later date. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
