The passing of Lionel Joseph Leger of Fredericton, NB, husband of Dot Leger occurred on Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on October 20, 1931 in Grande-Digue, NB, he was the son of the late Léonel and Ozélie (Robichaud) Leger.  Lionel worked as a Technical Advisor for Labour Canada. 

 

In addition to his wife, Lionel is survived by his children, Brian Leger (Judy), Brenda Bacon (Joey), Rose-Marie Connors (Royce) and Shirley-Ann Nicklin (Rejean); grandchildren, Natalie Connors, Shawn Nicklin (Genevieve), Dominique Leger, Lionel Leger, Nikka Hines; great grandchildren, Boue and Remington Leger and Eloise Nicklin; several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Corinne, Elodie, Yvonne, Ozélie, Rosia, Rita, Maria, Thérèse; brothers, Camille, Joseph, Roger, Laurie, Dominique and Edgar.

 

Visitation will take place at St. Anthony’s Parish on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 10-11am; followed by Mass at 11 am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant.  Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date.  For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.  Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
