Obituary of Ken Bryenton
Bryenton, Kenneth Mark
Kenneth Mark Bryenton, 45, husband of Janet McKenna and father to Owen and Lucas, died on January 18, 2020 after succumbing to brain cancer.
In addition to his wife and children, Ken will be dearly missed by his parents, Mary (Stymiest) and Carman, brothers Graham (Kim) and Matthew (Kari), niece and nephews Hannah, Grant, Trevor, Aidan and Nathan, mother and father-in law, Sue and Greg McKenna, sister-in-law, Vicki McKenna (Mike Ries), brother-in-law, Thomas McKenna (Lorraine Pigeon), chosen brother, Jayson deVries (Heather) as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ken loved the outdoors, including kayaking, hiking, hunting and fishing. He especially treasured the fishing trips he took in recent years with his father and brothers and the first lobster feed of the season every year in Tabusintac, which also served as a birthday celebration for his mother and nephew.
Ken enjoyed playing various sports with Owen and Lucas and introducing them to the joys of kayaking and fishing. He took great pleasure in strolling the beach in Cavendish with Janet and the boys looking for treasures of beach glass and special shells. These strolls usually ended in an epic water fight started by a sneak attack from one of the boys. Ken also enjoyed music, gardening, brewing his own beer using hops he grew himself and supporting the local craft brew scene.
